Beinn Dearg yields nothing to its more famous Torridon neighbours. One of the highest Corbetts, its summit ridge involves scrambling and great views.

Beinn Dearg is often ascended via the very steepwest shoulder of Stuc Loch na Cabhaig as described above; the ridge above this leads to the summit. The spectacular east ridge is a scrambling route with three rock tiers; the descent from below this down to the Coire Mhic Nobuil is also steep with hidden terraces.
