Detailed route description and map
Beinn Mhic Chasgaig from Glen Etive
Other routes and challenges
The usual ascent is up the gorge from Alltchaorunn as described. A much more direct alternative route up the NNE ridge is only possible when the River Etive is low, as the river must be forded.
The mountain is linked by a 698m bealach to the Creise ridge, enabling Munro/Corbett combinations if done as a traverse.
