A crag just below the summit lends some character to this Corbett on the north side of Glen Lyon. Its lower slopes are perhaps its most attractive feature however, with fine woodlands overlooking the glen.

The route above is quite short, leaving plenty of time to climb Beinn Dearg the same day - possibly also including the Graham, Meall a' Mhuic, between.

The mountain can also be approached through Rannoch Forest from a start point on Loch Rannoch to the north.
