Càrn Ealasaid is a rounded Corbett on the west side of the Lecht. The ski impedimentia can be avoided by approaching the south via landrover tracks from the Allergue Inn, or via a wilder route from the north.

The alternative southern approach starts up the track from the A939 near the Allargue Arms. After Loinherry you can either head directly up Cairn Vaich, or make a circuit by including Càrn Meadhonach and Beinn a' Chruinnich.
