The two routes above cover the main ridges; as an alternative to the Sannox horseshoe, it is also possible to do a Glen Rosa horseshoe by starting up Goatfell. Cìr Mhòr can also be climbed as a detour from the ascent of Caisteal Abhail from North Sannox.
