Càrn nan Gabhar is almost invariably climbed as part of the classic traverse of Beinn a' Ghlò from Loch Moraig.
It is, however, possible to climb both Càrn nan Gabhar and Braigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain from beautiful Glen Tilt to the north, through the approach would be an extremely long one. A bridge over the Tilt at NN956761 would likely by of use.
