The forgotten mountain of Glen Coe, Sgòr na h-Ulaidh is hidden from view and sees far fewer ascents than other peaks in the glen. It is exceptionally steep but the view is an unfamiliar aspect to the better known peaks around it.

Meall Lighiche can be omitted from the route above by continuing up the glen before heading for the Bealach Easan.
An alternative ascent can be made from Glen Etive. Follow forestry tracks from Invercharnan into the upper glen above the Allt nan Gaoirean. From here you can either ascend Meall a' Bhùiridh, or head for the bealach between it and Sgùrr na h-Ulaidh.
