Sgurr na Carnach is one of the Five Sisters of Kintail, and became a separate Munro in the 1997 revision to Munro's tables. It is a steep rocky cone.

Sgurr na Carnach itself is very rarely climbed without going over the Munros on either side.

The traverse of the Five Sisters is a long and demanding walk in its own right; the super-fit may attempt to extend it by also including the three further Munros of the Brothers ridge, and perhaps even Ciste Dhubh as well.
