This very short forestry walk visits The Unknown, a nine foot bronze skeletal sculpture by artist Kenny Hunter. It looks out over the forestry towards the peaks of Ben Loyal.

Turn off the A836 onto a track with a Forestry and Land Scotland sign for Borgie Glen and the Unknown, around 1.5km east of Borgie Bridge. After 1.2km of gravel track, a car park is reached on the left side. The walk begins from the parking area entrance, waymarked in red as the Lonesome Pine Trail. It climbs through the trees, soon reaching a fork - bear left here.
At the next junction, with a wooden signpost, go straight ahead to visit the Unknown. This 9 foot high skeleton by Edinburgh-born artist Kenny Hunter was cast in bronze, a giant overlooking the extensive forests, gazing out to the peaks of Ben Loyal.
After enjoying the sculpture, return to the path junction with the wooden signpost, and this time turn right (signed 'Forest Trail'). The trail continues through an open area - the Unknown is visible over to the right - before descending and re-entering the trees. The path swings right and eventually descends to the fork near the car park - keep ahead to return to the start.
