The MacDonald Hotel is sited where the West Highland Way begins its climb towards Fort William, at the foot of the Mamore mountains.

The nine all-season cosy cabins have fantastic views down Loch Leven. Each cabin has 4 bunks with mattress and pillow; storage space; electric lights and sockets; heating for the winter and midge zappers for the summer. Hot showers and toilets, drying room, potwash and laundry nearby. Meals including breakfast and packed lunch available from the hotel.

We provide Hostel accommodation for up to 20 people in 4 bunk rooms consisting of 1x2, 1x4, 1x6 and 1x8. Bedding is supplied and also towels for anyone arriving by train, bicycle or foot. We can provide evening meals, breakfast and packed lunches with any special diets catered for. Early breakfast available if needed. Alternatively you can self cater.

The Hostel includes a Common room with books, cards and board games, a dining area, excellent drying rooms and lockable cycle/canoe storage if required.

Our bunkhouse is once again open and we hope to welcome you to it soon. Situated close to the working hub of our West Highland estate, the bunkhouse has a fun and friendly atmosphere. The bunkhouse is available to rent by night, either by bed, by room, or for the whole establishment. It consists of three bunk bedrooms, a large and bright sitting/dining room, a kitchen with a six-ring gas cooker and two ovens, a large fridge freezer and a washing machine with tumble dryer. There is a shower room with WC and an additional WC.
