a' Chralaig is a massive mountain and, despite being lesser known than many of its neighbours, is actually the highest summit in Kintail. The ascent from the Cluanie Inn is an unrelenting slog but it leads up to a very fine ridge and superb views.

Other routes and challenges
The a' Chralaig - Mullach Fraoch-choire ridge is linked to the Sgùrr nan Conbhairean group by the Bealach Choire a' Chaitt.
To ascend all five Munros in the group, the best option is a starting point in the remote upper reaches of Glen Affric to the north, though the approach to the foot of the ridges is very long and would usually require an overnight stay. The Corbett Càrn a' Choire Ghairbh could also be included.
