Druim Shionnach is the second Munro on the South Glen Shiel Ridge. It is a narrow section of the traverse with a little scrambling on the ascent from the east.

For those not attempting the whole 7 Munros ridge, the north ridge of Druim Shionnach can be ascended after following a stalkers' path up to Loch a' Mhaoil Dhisnich from Cluanie.
All the finest features of the South Glen Shiel Ridge are on the northern side. The southern flank above lonely Glen Quoich has more uniform but steep slopes which deter an approach from this side.
