Sail Chaorainn is a rather forgotten peak amongst the Kintail Munros, being situated out of sight behind Sgurr nan Conbhairean. It's position on the ridge extending north from that peak makes it fairly remote.

Other routes and challenges
An ascent of Sail Chaorainn on its own could be made by approaching up Glen Doe from the A887, and tackling the An Reithe ridge.
The Sgurr nan Conbhairean group is linked to the A' Chralaig and Mullach Fraoch-choire ridge by the Bealach Choire a' Chaitt. To ascend all five Munros in the group, the best option is a starting point in the remote upper reaches of Glen Affric to the north, though the approach to the foot of the ridges is very long and would usually require an overnight stay. The Corbett Carn a' Choire Ghairbh could also be included.
