The above route can be used to ascend Sgurr na Sgine only, following the route that avoids the Forcan Ridge by following the dyke to the Bealach Coire Mhalagain before heading up to Sgurr na Sgine. The descent can be made via Faochag.
Ascending from the Bealach an Toiteil - allowing a link with Sgurr a' Bhac Chaolais - involves extremely steep ground and is not recommended.
