A twin to neighbouring Stob Coire Easain, Stob a'Choire Mheadhoin is part of a huge north-south ridge. It looks a fine pyramid when seen from around Moy its central position and height makes it a good viewpoint.

The route given above is almost invariably used for ascents of both Munros on the ridge.
Other possibilities include an approach from the Lairig Leacach, or from the head of Loch Treig - perhaps as long traverse, heading up the south ridge of Stob Coire Easain on a route between Corrour and Tulloch stations.
