Stob Coire a'Chairn has a fine situation where the airy An Gearanach ridge meets the main spine of the Mamores. This area has some of the best ridgewalking in Scotland.

This part of the Mamores ridge could also be climbed from Kinlochleven - it is possible to ascend to the bealachs on either side. The route could be combined with Am Bodach and/or Na Gruagaichean.
The classic epic challenge for the hyper-fit is to traverse the whole Mamores ridge in a day - a major undertaking. There are eight Munros on or close to the main ridge itself, plus two eastern outliers which are traditionally included.
