Stob Coire Raineach - the northern summit of Buachaille Etive Beag - became a Munro in its own right in 1997. Its broad summit has great views of the Aonach Eagach.

The wee Buachaille can also be climbed from Glen Etive. Use the car park near Dalness, then head back up the road and start on the Lairig Gartain / Lairig Eilde right of way. Leave this to ascend to direct SSW ridge to the summit of Stob Dubh - there is some scree higher up. From the bealach between the two peaks a descent can be made to the River Coupall, returning to the start through the Lairig Gartain.
