Stuchd an Lochain is an enjoyable mountain with a fine northern corrie enclosing the almost circular Lochan nan Cat. It is usually climbed via a very short route from Loch an Daimh to the north but can also be approached from Pubil in upper Glen Lyon.

As the route is fairly short, many combine the route above with that to Meall Buidhe on the other side of the glen.

The mountain can also be readily climbed from Pubil near the Loch Lyon dam, but the slopes are featureless and the Stuchd lacks character on this side.
