Police have issued an appeal for information about a missing hill walker. The missing man did not returned to his car after walking in the Loch Rannoch area. The man is from Northern Ireland and is described as 5ft 6 tall, slim build with grey hair. Although an experienced hill walker there has been no contact made with him for several days and the Police are keen to speak with any persons who may have been in the area, particularly the area around Ben Alder, who may have seen or spoken to the male. Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any Police officer.

The missing man has been named as Michael O’Grady, who is 64 years of age and is from Irvinestown, Northern Ireland. He is described as 5ft 6 tall, slim build, with grey hair, and is an experienced hill walker.

Michael was last seen on Sunday, 22 December, 2013, having left the Loch Ossian Youth Hostel intending to walk to Culra Bothy.

Police Scotland are eager to speak with anyone who may have seen or spoken to him that day.

It is thought that the he may have been seen by a group of five hill walkers that day near to Ben Alder. Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any Police office.
