Cameron McNeish will give an illustrated talk, sponsored by Tiso, in Inverness on 25 November.
Over the past twenty years writer and broadcaster Cameron McNeish has made a number of television programmes for the BBC including the highly successful series The Edge: 100 Years of Scottish Mountaineering and Wilderness Walks. More recently he has appeared as a regular presenter on the acclaimed BBC Scotland series The Adventure Show and he has made a number of programmes about long distance trails in Scotland, including the Sutherland Trail, the Skye Trail and the Hebridean Trail. Last year he led the commentary team on The Great Climb, when Dave MacLeod and Tim Emmet climbed a new rout on Sron Ulladale on the Isle of Harris.
In this illustrated talk Cameron recalls some of the memorable moments that took place when making these television programmes and with the use of video clips illustrates the wealth of fabulous landscapes that Scotland has to offer the keen climber or hillwalker.
The talk will take place at the Milburn Academy on the edge of Inverness on Friday 25 November at 7:30pm. Tickets are £8 with profits donated to local Mountain Rescue Teams. Further details can be found from Tiso.
