Walkhighlands’ members up for Highlands Tourism Awards

A bumper number of Walkhighlands business members have made it to the shortlist for this year’s Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards. The results will be announced at a ceremony in Inverness on Friday evening (18 Nov) – good luck to all the entrants.

Walkhighlands’ members shortlisted for awards are:

Highland Campervans – up for no less than three awards (Best Visitor Experience Small, Best Entrepreneurial Business in the Great Outdoors, and Best Leader)

Gordon Pearson from Wow Scotland, providing great walking adventures in the Highlands – shortlisted for Young Ambassador

Sands Caravan and Camping Park – shortlisted for Best in Working Together for Tourism

Wilderness Scotland – providing eco-aware holiday and tours across Scotland are also nominated for Best Entrepreneurial Business in the Great Outdoors

Whitefalls Spa Lodges – luxury lodges in the Outer Hebrides, are up for 2 awards, Best Supplier Partnership and Best Visitor Experience Small

Sea Life Glass Bottom Boat (does what is says on the tin) are also shotlisted for Best Visitor Experience Small

Bluebell Croft – providing luxury self catering accommodation and fabulous food in Ardnamurchan are up for Best Sustainable Tourism Exemplar

The Glenuig Inn – working hard to accommodate, feed, and dry out walkers and paddlers in style are also shortlisted for Best Sustainable Tourism Exemplar

Jacobite – providing popular cruises on Loch Ness are shortlisted for Best Use of Social Media.
