A Shot in the Park open for entries

Loch Lomond from Conic Hill

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and lots of events are happening in the park to commemorate the occasion. As part of the celebrations, the National Park has launched its Shot in the Park photography competition. The winning entries will be used by the National Park in promotional activities.

Photographs taken anywhere in the national park between 26th May and 23rd September can be uploaded for judging on the National Park photo competition website. The Park is asking people to submit photographs of any aspect of the national park. There are four categories to choose from: Landscape, People, Flora & Fauna, and The National Park at Work. There is also a special category for photographs submitted by anyone under 16 years of age

The winner from each category will win a £100 Amazon voucher, with one of the category winners crowned overall champion and winning an additional £500 Amazon voucher and two first class sleeper tickets to London. In addition, as well as uploading their photographs, visitors to the website can vote (once) for their favourite picture in any category and the photographer whose picture receives the highest number of votes will receive a luxury food hamper.

Competition judges include Scottish writer and broadcaster, Sally Magnusson and one of the world’s leading landscape photographers, Colin Prior. For competition details including how to enter and to vote on current entries see the Shot in the Park website.
