Drovers' Tryst open for bookings

This year’s Drovers’ Tryst walking festival offers a packed programme including many walks, a ceilidh, music, mountain film, pub quiz and of course the famous Hairy Coo and St Fillans mountain bike challenges. The friendly festival has now opened its doors for bookings and will take place this year from the 8th to 15th October.

Crieff & Strathearn Drovers’ Tryst annually celebrates the life, work and play of the people who made Crieff the cattle-droving crossroads of Scotland in the 1700s. The modern day Tryst is run by volunteers and built around a programme of guided walks in the stunning scenery and autumn colours of Strathearn & surrounding areas. The walks vary in difficulty but all are enriched by wildlife, plants, trees, history and the company of like-minded people.

Complementing the walks is a series of enjoyable evening social events, with music, drama, film and dancing! The Tryst also embraces two mountain bike events, and there is great food and drink to be enjoyed in local restaurants and cafes, a wide choice of places to stay and many other interesting attractions. This year there will also be a photography competition.

For more information about all the events on offer and booking details check out the Drovers’ Tryst website.
