Stretcher Case beer brewed for Kintail MRT

This year's Great Wilderness Challenge, which attracts hundreds of participants and raises hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity is to be held in the Kintail area on Saturday 20th August. Kintail Mountain Rescue Team will be providing first aid and communications cover as well as a post event ceilidh.

During the ceilidh the MRT will selling their very own beer produced by Andy Wills of the Plockton Brewery. The limited edition ale is called Stretcher Case and all the proceeds will be going to the MRT who will also be selling a limited number of Stretcher Case T-shirts. Proceeds of the food stall will be split with Macmillan Cancer Suport and there will be a raffle with items supplied by many respectable outdoor retailers and manufacturers.

For more details of this year’s Great Wilderness Challenge which has routes of 18, 10 and 8 miles starting from Morvich in Kintail see the website. If you just want to support the challengers, have a dance, and sample the special ale, the ceilidh will be open to all in Kintail Hall on Saturday night.

Kintail MRT says that the ale will also be available locally around the Kintail and Lochalsh area so keep an eye out for it.
