Lyness Wartime Trail and Wee Fea hill, Hoy

12,000 troops were stationed at the Lyness base, HMS Prosperine, during WWII. This walk explores the legacy of that time, visiting the museum, war cemetery, air raid shelter, and climbing Wee Fea hill for good views over Scapa Flow. NOTE: The Scapa Flow Visitor Centre is currently closed and will reopen in 2020 - in the meantime there is a temporary exhibition at the Hoy Hotel
