Machair Cottage Scarista, Isle of Harris

Machair Cottage is a traditional style croft house located in the small, secluded village of Scaristaveg, on the west coast of the Isle of Harris. The cottage is peacefully set back in its own land off the main north/south island route. An ideal base for beach, hillwalking, golf, wildlife, water sports, trips to St Kilda, or just enjoying the scenery.

Furnished to a very comfortable standard, 3 bedrooms, kitchen, lounge, dining room, bathroom, satellite TV, storage heating and multi-fuel stove, private parking, beach location with mountain and ocean views.

Craigriach Isle of Scalpay

Craigriach is on Scalpay, a small island connected to Harris by a bridge. Scalpay has several posted walks of great beauty and interest, including the walk to the famous Eilean Glas Lighthouse, which also has the whale watching station. Sea and Golden eagles visit regularly. The house is fifty metres from the sea on a still working croft but totally enclosed, with uninterrupted views South to Skye and the Uists & West to Clisham and the magnificent North Harris mountains where more ambitious walking can be found. The Red House near Tarbert, Isle of Harris

The Red House or Tigh Dearg, beautiful and secluded, renovated from a traditional stone cottage now a perfect getaway for two, central to Harris and the whole of the Western Isles.

The stylish open plan sitting room features a multifuel stove, and reclining sofa. Well equipped kitchen area, slate lined wet room, stunning mezzanine floor with sitting area boasting beautiful views and a king sized bed. From the house you can see seals basking and you can enjoy strolls along the peaceful shore. The only traffic the ferry sailing past.

Located on the west coast of Harris amongst breath-taking beaches and fantastic Scottish scenery it has amazing views especially through the big windows in the open plan living area. The house is spacious and exceptionally comfortable with underfloor heating, infrared sauna, 3 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. àilean sleeps up to 6 in splendid comfort and is just a few hundred yards from the nearest beach.

Our lovingly renovated croft house provides comfortable accommodation in the stunning shoreside setting of Rhenigidale. With a large, mature garden and plenty of coastal and hill walks just outside the door, 2 Rhenigidale is the ideal base from which to explore Harris and Lewis. Situated in northeast Harris, Rhenigidale is within easy reach of Stornoway, Tarbert and all the islands' scenic highlights. With its sheltered bay, the settlement is also an ideal base for kayaking and sea swimming. Indoors, you'll find a well-equipped kitchen and a warming multi-fuel stove.

Mil Bothy Quidinish, Isle of Harris

Mil Bothy is a comfortable peaceful retreat for two built in 2014, with views to Skye and the spectacular Cuillin Mountain Range. Nature lovers can watch the water's edge wildlife activity from the windows or patio and start on a nature walk from the doorstep.

Interesting high and low ground walks nearby with stunning views of the Sound of Harris or the beaches in Luskentyre. Good base to start a trip to St Kilda. On the bookshelves there are many books of local walks, history and places of interest.

A modern bothy in a unique elevated position on our croft designed to accommodate one or two guests and a dog. The Blue Hare nestles into the surroundings with privacy for guests. The location is ideal for cycling, walking or even the odd yachts person wanting a break from the boat. The Blue Hare has been finished to a high level of interior fitting and furnishing. Floor to ceiling windows enable you to enjoy the panoramic sea views and observe the eagles, seals, whales, dolphins and otters.

This newly built traditional longhouse offers all the benefits of a modern home and is just metres from the shoreline. In front lies Lingerbay Island and its Mol Ban (White Shingle Beach). Seals and otters lounge around the island and many seabirds can be spotted. A short bus/cycle ride or 15min car ride takes you to the white sands of Northton or Scarista beach.
