By accessing Walkhighlands you agree to be legally bound by the following terms; if you do not agree to these terms then you should not access Walkhighlands.
Walking can be a dangerous activity and all walks are undertaken entirely at your own risk. Whilst we strive for accuracy, you acknowledge that Walkhighlands takes no responsibility or liability, nor gives any warranty, as to the accuracy of information on the site. It is your responsibility to verify information with other sources. All walkers should carry a detailed map and compass and it is each walkers responsibility to ensure that the walk and weather conditions are within their capabilities. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability in contract, tort (including negligence) breach of statutory duty or otherwise for any costs, losses, claims, damages, expenses or proceedings (including special, incidental or consequential loss or damage, loss of profits or wasted time) incurred or suffered by you arising directly or indirectly in connection with use of Walkhighlands, including any loss, damage or expense arising from, but not limited to, any defect, error, imperfection, fault, mistake or inaccuracy with Walkhighlands or user content, or due to any unavailability of part or all of Walkhighlands.
You must agree to the following Participation Statement:
Walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
Almost all walking routes in Scotland cross private land and it is each walker's responsibility to ensure no damage is caused to private property or interference caused with crofting, farming, stalking, forestry or other commercial activities.

You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening or any other material that may violate any laws. You agree that Walkhighlands have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic or ban any user at any time. Walkhighlands shall not be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised. Please ensure you read our

You are responsible for the content of, and any harm resulting from, content that you add to Walkhighlands. By posting content, you represent and warrant that:

You retain copyright of all material you post, but in adding material to Walkhighlands, you grant Walkhighlands a irrevocable, world-wide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to publish your post - including attached photos - on the website, solely for the purpose of displaying your post.
