Beinn Tarsuinn is in the heart of the Fisherfield Forest, one of the wildest places in Scotland, and requires an epic walk to ascend, whether climbed with the rest of the Fisherfield Munros from Shenavall to the north, or from Kinlochewe to the south.

Whilst the route given above is a real classic, Beinn Tarsuinn can also be ascended by a route from Kinlochewe to the south, usually heading in via the Heights of Kinlochewe before wild-camping near the foot of Loch Fhada.
