Màm Sodhail is a twin to the neighbouring Càrn Eige, the two highest peaks north of the great glen. It is supported by fine ridges high above the shores of beautiful Loch Affric.

The quickest approach to both Càrn Eige and Màm Sodhail is by the path up the Allt Coire Leachavie, but it would be a shame to omit the fine east ridge traversed on the route given above.
For the truly superfit, the massive challenge hereabouts is the complete Mullardoch round, following ridges that can take in up to 12 Munros, usually accomplished as a lightweight backpacking route.
