Beinn Eighe is one of celebrated Torridon giants. Ruadh Stac-Mhòr is its highest summit, a steep-sided dome off to the north of the main ridge, high above Coire Mhic Fhearchair, one of the finest corries in the country.

A much longer alternative to the above route is the complete traverse of Beinn Eighe, extending the route from Spidean Coire nan Clach over the eastern tops of this great range. The Black Carls - or Bodaich Dubh - provide a scramble before the final descends towards Kinlochewe.
