Other routes and challenges

Whilst the route given above is a real classic, Sgurr Ban can be ascended by a route from Kinlochewe to the south, usually heading in via the Heights of Kinlochewe before wild-camping near the foot of Loch Fhada. Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair is usually climbed on both the way out and the return.

The vast quartzite slabs sweeping down to Loch an Nid have been known to attract adventurous scramblers (in dry conditions) undeterred by the remote location.
