Tom a' Chòinich

Tom a' Chòinich is an eastward extension of the Càrn Eige range, an 'e'-shaped junction of three ridges above Glen Affric. It is a far finer peak than its lumpy neighbour Toll Creagach.

Other routes and challenges

An alternative to the route used in descent in the above route is to tackle the Creag na h-Inghinn ridge. The stalkers' paths on the northern side are of little use since their foot was flooded with Loch Mullardoch.

For the truly superfit, the massive challenge hereabouts is the complete Mullardoch round, following ridges that can take in up to 12 Munros, usually accomplished as a lightweight backpacking route.
